What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, phone or tablet) when you visit it. They serve mainly to remember preferences, keep sessions active and measure how the site performs.
Some cookies stay on your device only for the duration of the visit (session cookies), and others remain for a longer period to recognise the returning visitor (persistent cookies). Some cookies are managed by our own domain (first-party); others come from services we use on the website (third-party).
This Policy describes, with full transparency, the cookies we use, the purpose of each, their duration and how you can manage them.
Cookies we use
Our principle is simple: use the minimum cookies necessary for the website to work well, and never activate third-party cookies without your explicit consent.
By default, when you visit the site, only strictly necessary cookies are active (BUK session during an active booking, your consent record, chosen language). Analytics cookies are loaded only after acceptance on the cookie banner shown on the first visit.
Categorisation
We distinguish three categories of cookies:
- Necessary: indispensable for the operation of the site and contracted services (BUK booking, consent record). They cannot be refused without compromising functional experience.
- Preferences: store your choices (language, future display settings) to avoid repeating settings on every visit. They can be refused, with no loss of essential function.
- Analytics: collect aggregated and anonymised information about how the site is used (most visited pages, traffic sources). Activated only after explicit consent; can be refused with no impact on access to content.
We do not use marketing cookies, behavioural advertising, device fingerprinting or retargeting.
Detailed list
The table below lists every cookie currently in use, grouped by category. This inventory is kept up to date and reviewed whenever we add or remove features.
How to manage cookies
You can manage cookies on two levels:
- On the website itself: through the cookie banner shown on the first visit you can accept or refuse each optional category. To change your choice later, just clear the site cookies in your browser and the banner will appear again on the next visit.
- In your browser: you can block or delete cookies at any time in the browser settings. Each browser has its own instructions:
Please note that blocking all cookies may prevent some areas of the site from working correctly, in particular the BUK booking calendar.

Changes to this policy
This Policy may be updated when we add, remove or replace features that involve cookies. Whenever this happens, the updated version is published on this page with a new date at the top of the document.
We recommend periodic review. Continued use of the site after changes to the Policy implies tacit acceptance of the new version.
